Bombs scare people. They are dropped on people and places to arouse fear. Joybombs are small bursts of art and music intended to combat fear. Joybombs are about love. We intend to drop as many Joybombs on the world as we can. Anyone can be a Joybomb. If you bomb someone with joy they will know it. If you bomb someone with joy you will understand each other better and eliminate the reason to fear each other.
So far, The Joybombs are being represented by one musical group in Lexington, KY. The hope for the future is that other individuals and groups of artists/musicians will adopt The Joybombs name and proceed to bomb their communities with joy. Imagine one night in America with hundreds of bands playing in their citites as The Joybombs - forming bridges of communication and love. This blog will be the forum where Joybombs can come together and chart our course. It will be a forum for figuring out what joy is, and sharing our experience of joy. And remember, this act of Joybombing people is not just for the person being bombed. It is also to heal the Joybomber.
